Bob and I have lived in Alaska since 1983. We lived in Anchorage for a few months, where Bob was employed as a Journeyman Plumber. Having just moved here from the Northwest Coast of Oregon, we knew right away that the big city wasn't for us. Bob attained a Journeyman Plumber's job on the Kenai Peninsula and we moved to this beautiful area. We lived in Soldotna for a few months throughout the winter and then bought property in Sterling where we proceeded to build our Alaskan log cabin.

We had several acres from which we cut the trees, peeled them and picked moss to place between the logs for chinking and slowly but surely built our first Alaskan dream home, all the while Bob continued to work full time as a plumber in Soldotna. We didn't have electricity except through our generator, we hauled our water or caught rain water in bath tubs and then transferred it to storage tanks that we had custom made that were above our specially built bathroom area. We didn't have phone for 3 years, there weren't any cell phones in 1985 here in Alaska. We loved our little cabin, but decided to sell it when we moved to Kenai after Bob attained a full time permanent job with the City of Kenai in their building maintenance department.

We have lived in Kenai since December of 1990. Bob just left the City of Kenai where he had held the position of Building Official for 15 years. We have owned and operated RS Inspection Services for the past 12 years. We provide home inspections, energy ratings and the ICC Inspections for the new homes being built in the Kenai Peninsula Borough. We also own White Dove Paper & Design Studio where we provide the hard to find items for local journal makers and paper artists. We carry all items necessary for specialty paper arts. I also offer workshops that teach journal making basics.

Real Estate has become my main focus right now and I wouldn't have it any other way. There has been no greater satisfaction in my life, (other than my 34+ years of being with my husband), that has provided me such enjoyment as finding the dream home for a first time homebuyer or that special piece of Alaska for an out of state buyer.
